Dr. Bonnie Abbott cares for small family animals. Her special interests include cancer care, surgery, senior pet care, preventive care, and grief care for the family.
She has been honored in 5280 Magazine as one of Seven Top Veterinarians in the Denver area. A native of Colorado, Dr. Abbott received her veterinary degree from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000.
Dr. Abbott completed an intensive Internship at Michigan State University Veterinary Medical Center. She’s been practicing for 19 years.
With nearly two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Rindal brings a deep understanding of both routine and complex veterinary care. Prior to joining Vista Animal Hospital, she practiced in a variety of settings, from busy urban clinics to specialty referral hospitals. These experiences expanded her perspective on patient care and client communication. Her areas of special interest include internal medicine, surgery, neurology, and geriatric medicine. She’s especially passionate about managing chronic and age-related conditions to improve the quality of life for her patients. Adding to her strong foundation in Western veterinary medicine, Dr. Rindal is currently pursuing certification in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.
For Dr. Raines, veterinary medicine is about trust, teamwork, and the unbreakable bond between people and their pets. Dr. Raines is deeply passionate about ultrasound, treating eye conditions, and complex skin and hair issues. She has a wealth of experience in internal medicine, dental surgery, and caring for older dogs and cats with chronic conditions such as kidney disease and diabetes.
With over 18 years of experience caring for small animals, Dr. Roth offers clients and their pets a wealth of veterinary knowledge, medical expertise, and compassion. She’s known for her patient- and client-focused approach, ensuring every pet receives exceptional care. Dr. Roth understands pet owners’ concerns and works closely with them to determine the ideal care plan for their furry friends. Whether diagnosing complex health issues, performing delicate surgeries, or providing specialized geriatric care, she’s committed to helping pets live their healthiest and happiest lives.
Austin thrives behind the scenes. He oversees operations, staffing, finance, and client relations to help make sure Vista Animal Hospital delivers unparalleled veterinary care for Erie and the surrounding communities. He plays a vital in creating an environment where pets receive top-tier medical attention and staff feel supported in delivering their best work. Thanks to Austin and the hard work of the entire team, Vista Animal Hospital earned accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association, a distinction held by only 15% of veterinary hospitals in the U.S. For Austin, that is what makes his work meaningful.
Every great team has someone who keeps things running smoothly, and at Vista Animal Hospital, that’s Dawn. She’s always quick to roll up her sleeves, tackle challenges head-on, and ensure that pets and her colleagues have the support they need. Dawn has been an integral member of our team since May 2020. Combining her unique knowledge as a Registered Veterinary Technician and her incredible attention to detail, she supports the clinical team and goes above and beyond to make sure pets and clients receive exceptional care and service.
Heidi became a registered veterinary technician in 2009 after completing her training at Bel-Rea Institute. Since joining Vista Animal Hospital in 2018, she’s enjoyed wearing many hats in a single day. Whether assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthesia, performing dental cleanings, providing client education, or supporting pet parents through senior care, Heidi cares for pets with exceptional skill and compassion. Clients and staff love how she treats every patient like her own, offering gentle reassurance, a steady hand, and the kind of detailed care that keeps pets healthy and happy.
Jeana earned her Associate degree from the Bel Rea Institute of Animal Technology in 2020, completing two years of intensive veterinary medical training. As a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at Vista Animal Hospital, she plays a key role in making sure every exam, procedure, lab test, and imaging session goes smoothly. Jeana thrives in fast-paced settings and loves being part of a collaborative, expert care team. Most of all, she takes pride in helping pets feel safe, supported, and cared for—because they’re an important part of your family.
When a pet needs surgery or close monitoring during anesthesia, Jacque is steady and focused, keeping a careful eye on every detail. She’s also great with pet parents, taking the time to talk with them and answer their questions in a way that feels approachable and easy to understand. Jacque loves building strong connections with pets and their people at Vista Animal Hospital. She knows every interaction matters and is an opportunity to heal and comfort. When your pet is sick or hurt, Jacque is exactly who you want by their side.
As a registered veterinary technician (RVT), Lena brings patience, precision, and a calming presence to every pet she cares for. Whether assisting veterinarians during surgeries, administering medications, or performing diagnostic tests like X-rays and lab work, Lena provides exceptional care for every patient. Clients appreciate her clear communication about post-operative care and general animal health information. Her greatest reward is seeing a pet bounce back and their family breathe a sigh of relief—nothing’s better than a wet nose kiss or a head bunt and happy purrs.
For Bre, veterinary care is not just a profession, it’s a calling. Whether assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthesia, helping recover pet after surgery, or teaching pet parents how to care for their animals at home, Bre brings patience, skill, and a deep respect for the bond between humans and their pets. But what really drives her is knowing she’s part of a team that helps animals feel better and gives their families peace of mind.
Ambrosia’s sense of humor, dedication to providing exceptional support, and love for animals make her an invaluable Vista Animal Hospital team member. She loves assisting with procedures and comforting pets recovering from surgery. She takes pride in ensuring that each patient receives the loving care and attention they deserve. Spencer has been part of the Vista Animal Hospital team since 2021, and if you have ever seen him in action, you know he has a knack for keeping pets calm—even the squirmy ones. Whether steadying a nervous senior dog during an exam or distracting a feisty kitten with a chin scratch, he ensures every visit is a little easier for pets and their people. He loves seeing animals recover from illness or injury, and knowing he played a part in their healing is deeply fulfilling.
Chelsey received her associate degree in Veterinary Technology from Community College of Denver in 2012. She became part of the Vista Animal Hospital team in May 2023 and has been hands-on ever since. From setting up exam rooms to helping the veterinary team through procedures, she’s always ready to jump in. But what she loves most is earning the trust of a nervous pet, turning hesitation into tail wags and gentle purrs.
As a veterinary assistant, Kelsey ensures each pet receives comfort, compassion, and support. Whether assisting in procedures or helping nervous pets feel at ease, Kelsey is committed to making every visit as stress-free as possible for pets and clients. Whether assisting with a procedure, helping a nervous pet feel at ease, or expanding her veterinary skills, she takes pride in ensuring every patient visit goes smoothly and that each cat and dog is treated like family, even when things get a little messy.
Amanda joined the Vista Animal Hospital team in 2023. She and the other CSRs help manage a constant flow of clients, pets, phone inquiries, and appointment requests. She also fields price quotes, facilitates prescription and food pickups, and addresses client concerns. And she handles it all with style and grace. Whether answering a worried pet parent’s questions, coordinating care with the veterinary team, or providing reassurance in a stressful moment, she loves being a vital team member who treats every patient and client like family.
Since joining Vista Animal Hospital in July 2024, Nicole has brought her enthusiasm, patience, and dedication to every pet she cares for. Whether assisting with pet wellness exams, surgical procedures, or post-treatment care, she is always eager to learn, support, and make a difference in the lives of pets and their families. She takes pride in ensuring exam rooms are stress-free and ready for care. Whether assisting veterinarians or registered vet techs or ensuring every pet in her care has a smooth recovery, she approaches her work with dedication and compassion.
For Emmanuel, a great day at work is about seeing cats and dogs heal when sick or injured and the look of relief on a client’s face after their appointment. Emmanuel joined the team at Vista Animal Hospital in May 2024 and is committed to providing attentive service for clients and their pets. Whether helping clients and their pets at the front desk or by phone, Emmanuel believes in listening to their needs. He loves making pets and clients feel supported and getting dogs and cats the care they need.
