Experience & Background

Bre’s path to becoming a registered veterinary technician wasn’t exactly a straight shot. She first set her sights on the ocean, studying environmental science and oceanography to better understand the natural world. But something called her to make a career path change to care for animals.

After more than a decade in the veterinary field, she became a registered veterinary technician and joined Vista Animal Hospital in December 2024. Whether assisting in surgery, monitoring anesthesia , helping recover pet after surgery, or teaching pet parents how to care for their animals at home, Bre brings patience, skill, and a deep respect for the bond between humans and their pets.

Personal Interests & Hobbies

At home, Bre is surrounded by her two beloved dogs—Mia, a light brindle pit bull, a spunky black and white three-legged  pit bill named Slim Jim, and Alfredo, a spotted pit mix with a bit of mystery in his lineage. She says her love for animals started when she was young, inspired by two small rabbits who surprised her by mastering a litter box. That seemingly small moment sparked a lifelong appreciation for animal behavior.

Beyond veterinary medicine, Bre embraces adventure in all forms. She competes in powerlifting, enjoys archery, paddleboarding, and hiking, and loves the thrill of solving escape rooms. Her dream trip? Exploring Australia’s wildlife up close.
